I've set up this website primarily as somewhere to store my travel and gig photos. Photos are hosted on ImgBB, and BearBlog seems like the most sensible place to put this stuff as the platform seems as future proofed as you're likely to get in the era of "enshittification".

In addition to photo blogging, I've also set up a few pages to keep track of stuff I enjoy doing in my spare time such as reading, cooking, videogames, etc, kind of like an organiser or digital scrapbook for my hobbies and interests so that I'm using my spare time productively.

I've temporarily reactivated my old Facebook account and I've started gradually working through my old photos and moving them over to this website. Some of the oldest photos are nearly 20 years old so it's taking a bit of time. Once I'm done I'm probably going to delete my Facebook account for good.

I also have loads of photos on Google Drive going back to about 2020 which will need to be moved across. My plan is to eventually move everything across to Proton and ditch Google for good as well, but Rome wasn't built in a day!
